This is an ID verification and will confirm if the ID number and surname
entered match, but will not return a photo of the person.
It will return minimal information – ID number and surname match, if the
ID is stolen or deceased status.
Important:
Should you
get a code V2, V3, or V4 please send a clear copy of the ID to the TPN
helpdesk. We will manually verify the ID document with Home Affairs.

The ID number specified has not yet been
verified by Home Affairs. This warning will usually come up with a young
consumer - every time a new consumer is loaded onto TransUnion the credit
bureau will return the result "ID not yet verified"

ID and surname do
not match
|
The ID number specified does not match to
the surname specified.
This could be a result of a spelling
mistake when capturing the data, or from a maiden name change. Please note
that surnames with special characters (hyphens etc.) will always give this
warning, as TransUnion does not allow for special characters in the input
field.

ID deceased
|
The ID number specified has verified as
belonging to a deceased person. It is highly probable that the ID being used is fraudulent.
