To perform a criminal check investigation in South Africa, the applicant is required to submit their fingerprints to the AFIS switch in order to check if they have a criminal record according to the SAPS database. TPN has developed a software suite which can be utilized in conjunction with a Sagem scanner in order to facilitate the transfer of the applicants fingerprints to the AFIS switch.

NB: This software is only intended for use by corporates utilizing their own scanners and is not used by TPN clients to submit criminal check requests through the TPN system.

 CrimTrack Software

The software suite has been developed for all versions of the Windows operating system which support the Microsoft .Net 4.0 framework. The suite is deployed utilizing ClickOnce technology which means that the suite will automatically update itself as required.
